Environmental topics, especially in the more remote regions of Russia has never been popular among Russian media consumers or to the readers of Takie Dela. We set the goal to release a special project on a narrow environmental issue that will attract people's attention
Ideas and solutions
After two weeks of traveling along the Irtysh River, we released a special project, the center of which were the people who live along the river and face certain life difficulties due to the transboundary and environmental features of the region. he main interactive page of the special project does not appeal to anything serious at first sight - this is a river-map in a children's style, clicking on which you find yourself on different stories about the Irtysh. A fun and frivolous wrapper for serious and even tragic content. Some stories are accompanied by short video teasers for a more complete immersion into the atmosphere of those places. In total, the special project consists of 9 stories, sometimes unrelated to each other logically and chronologically, which is why they are confused on the main page. Each story ends with the same river map as the main one, returning the user to the selection. The project was released on January 29, 2019, during which time the project pages were viewed more than 40,000 times. Projects have been praised by the professional community.
