Historical Reconstruction of Voskresensky Bridge Полдень
Task
To present historical reconstruction of Voskresensky Bridge to museum visitors. We had to follow modern audiovisual tendencies, and use powerful tools for its demonstration. To use Immersive and interactive content was the main condition. We had to consider more than 2 million museum visitors per year.
Ideas and solutions
We decided to use VR solution to this problem. At first, we create a realtime graphic content with 3D reconstruction of Red Square and the nearest area. Visitors had the ability to navigate through a virtual location and look on from various viewpoints. We recreated the exterior, clothes and vehicles of 16th Century based on arts and historical documents. Then we create own device solution - VR binocular, that can demonstrate VR - content to visitors. The main idea of this device is to show the virtual world in the correct position in the real world. We didn’t use tracking algorithms, but we create our VR-content positional system. NOON can work every time and everywhere without any technical support. The client doesn’t need special staff to help visitors to use the NOON. That was the main advantage over the overs VR-solutions
