Task
Avengers: Endgame, which was the most anticipated movie in Marvel Cinematic Universe, is the final instalment of the epic saga about the world famous superheroes! The remaining Avengers team and their allies have to develop a new plan that will help reserve the damage caused by the mighty Titan Thanos. The challenge for Ryba Tut Agency was to develop a solution that would emphasize the maximum immersion in the action on screens in IMAX movie theatres.
Ideas and solutions
By the time the movie was released, IMAX and we had developed a social network game — an online battle which allows the player to immerse themselves in this epic fight against the villain by becoming a member of the Avengers team and help them confront Thanos. The game was introduced within the social network VKontakte framework: all the gameplay was put in action within the official IMAX community. All tasks were to be received by players in the chat-bot, which was specially created for the game; game status, Thanos’s state and the results were displayed in the custom-made dynamically updated heading banner. People who played the game were equipped with all sorts of ‘weapons’ such as hashtags, likes, reposts and comments, which were converted into shared victories over Thanos (each like, repost or comment reduced the villain’s health by one point). Each task corresponded to a particular hero of the movie.
