Task
Menstruation is still considered one of the most taboo topics — to start a conversation about it in a "decent" society is still considered something shameful, and even women themselves refuse to violate this outdated stereotype. We believe that the stigmatization of menstruation is absolutely unacceptable for 2019 and do everything on the way to remedy the deplorable situation, including with the help of this collection of menstrual cups.
Ideas and solutions
Together with LilaCup we have released 120 bowls in different sizes. Included with every unit there is an instruction and a satin-linen bag. For the latter, we have developed a special design, reflecting not only the local identity, but also the removal of stigma from the theme of menstruation. The black bags depict the canonical "Tatar" Tulip, resembling the structure of the vagina. The decision seems to be simple, but for the conservative society of Tatarstan, largely consisting of Muslims, such a decision has become resonant and has caused a lot of controversy, what attracted thereby attention to the problem.
