Task
The main purpose of the project was to show the work of the device which allows to determine the coordinates, course and speed of an aeroplane or helicopter.
Ideas and solutions
The functions of an inertial navigation system that simulates all the processes of an object's movement, such as acceleration, speed, and coordinates, we’re displayed in the installation Gyroscope. It consists of three rings located one in another and capable of rotation, each in its own axis. Behind the installation is a video pane for displaying content. By the movement of rings, we have modelled a possible rotational movement: the fall of the maple leaf, the dance of the ballerina, the falling cubes, etc. Visitors can control the virtual model of the helicopter on the video pane with a joystick, while the installation of the rotating ring repeats the movement of the helicopter
